Reservation List
Once we know that a mama is pregnant (we usually have full confidence around 5-6 weeks post-breeding whether she is pregnant or not) we will open up her reservation list. If anyone has reached out to us about upcoming litters, we send emails to them first and give them an opportunity to join our reservation list before offering it to the public. To join this our “waitlist,” you will need to answer our client questionnaire so we can learn more about you and the personality that you are hoping to find in your future puppy.
To join our reservation list we ask that a $500 deposit be paid with a credit or debit card. This deposit is nonrefundable, but can be held for a year or transferred twice (to another litter or puppy) if something comes up in your life and you need to change plans. The deposit is part of the total adoption fee, not in addition to. Card payments come with a 3% processing fee.
Once on our list, you’ll receive a weekly newsletter describing how the puppies and mama are doing & you’ll be connected to our Google Photos album, where we share picture and video content, that way you don't miss out on anything as they grow and develop. Around 5 weeks of age, we begin assessing the temperaments of each puppy. This temperament assessment is sent to our reservation families to help them start to understand each puppy's unique personality traits. Once our puppies have received their first vaccination, at 6 weeks old, families can pick their puppy in the order that we received their deposit. (BrickHouse Pups always reserves the right of first-pick of the litter). You're welcome to come visit and meet the puppies in person, or you can use the information shared with you to pick! Regardless of whether you're able to visit or not, we will do all that we can to help you make a confident decision. You're welcome to rename your puppy once you've picked out a puppy and we'll start calling him/her by their new name so it's familiar to them before leaving.
At 8 weeks old, our puppies go to the vet to be microchipped and receive a physical exam. If everything goes well at that appointment, then puppies can tentatively go home at 9 weeks old! Go home dates are tentative because we honor each puppy's personal rate of development. Puppies must be eating solid kibble and napping in a crate by themself before going home.
Your balance will be due on the go-home day and can be paid with cash or card (Indiana residents may also pay with a check). These prices do not include sales tax and are subject to change.
